SHOW NOTES
FROM THE PASTOR’S INBOX Why to leave a church? Derek shares insights into when and why it may be appropriate to leave a church:
- Leaving a church should never be done casually or for minor reasons like personal ambition, pride, or personality clashes.
- False Churches: A church with unbiblical theology is a valid reason to leave.
- Doctrinal Error: Serious deviations from biblical teaching may justify leaving but should ideally be addressed through repentance and correction first.
- Matters of Conscience: If one cannot minister in alignment with Scripture at a church, it may be time to move on.
- Practical Considerations: If staying could harm one’s faith or stand as a barrier to others coming to salvation, leaving may be necessary.
